Unauthorized charges to Apple Cash continue despite password change

I looked at this app but due to my car being new and the 1 or 2 features I didn’t buy it as I didn’t want to mess anything up on a new car.

But this app continually starts charging my Apple Cash. Green Dot gave me the 6.99 back and then locked my card. I just unlocked it and it appears they’ve still been trying to charge I just haven’t been able to see it.

They keep just throwing random amounts at me one this morning is pending!

Had to call GD again. They locked my account which they did on 10/31. I had just unlocked it and they started it again. The only thing they’re lock does is block you from seeing what’s going on.

I told the guy I wanted that company blocked from charging my account like my bank would do. He said they don’t have that ability.

SO APPLE USERS NOW HAVE TO USE A BANK THAT DOESNT PROTECT OUR MONEY!!!!!

I’VE CHANGED MY PASSWORD AND STILL I HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS UNAUTHORIZED FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY???

It’s easy to believe you’re making a one time payment, but hidden in the fine print it’s a subscription. Subscriptions are legal binding contracts and the bank has no choice but to complete the payment. You’re required to cancel the subscription.

This is a common scam and your first step is to contact the merchant and request cancellation. When I visited their website a link to manage an account was on the front page of their website.

If the cancellation request fails please contact Green Dot Bank and request the fraud department and explain the issue.

What will not work is removing your card from Apple Wallet or locking your card. The subscription is not cancelled and still a valid legally binding contract. Only closing the account permanently or working with their fraud department will result in a stoppage of payments. It’s generally much easier to cancel the subscription.
