How to get a key back on?

Help! My preschooler took some of the keys off the keyboard. I can't figure out how to get them back on. There are two little plastic pieces plus the key cover. I don't know which way they all three fit together to snap them back on the keyboard. Does anyone know how to fix them?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Sorry to say, but once those keycaps come off, they aren't going back on. Take it to an AASP or Apple store and see if your model has a keycap kit available for it. Those only cost $25-$30 for every key on the keyboard. Not every model is available, but if you have the square flat keys like on the aluminum keyboards, then you have a chance.

assuming it's a white MacBook then I put a key back on one a while back - so it can be done as long as none of the parts are broken, however I can't remember exactly which way it all went back!

The keys can be replaced and in some cases the old key cap can be reset. You can buy new key caps here [http://www.replacementlaptopkeys.com/Apple_Keys/?gclid=CMTlw6nB6aMCFQpf2godhlI U3g].

Do a search for replacing keys on a MacBook. There are many post on the net on the correct way to replace the keycap.

Yeah, I know they can be replaced too because the same thing happened on my old iBook a few years ago, but I couldn't remember how those little plastic pieces to back on it! (But on the bright side, I can now get the dog hair out from under the keys!)

Thanks! Now that I look at it more closely, I think that one of the little pieces is broken and that's why they're not snapping back as they have before. I guess they'll only tolerate being removed so often!
