What happend to $3.99 movies?

What happend to $3.99 movies?

The new Apple TV looks nice, but they very quietly seemed to eliminate the $3.99 current movie. Now it seems like it is the $4.99 HD only?

That should make up for the difference in the $99 vs. $229 cost of the device fairly quickly...

24" iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.3), 24"iMac, PB PRO 15", iPhone 4, iPad, etc...

reading between the lines it would seem that all the content available via the store is HD only.

I would agree with only HD being avaiable. Reading between the lines i think the old ATV will work as is, but won't be able to add new movies/tv shows to it. i thought he said you can stream music an pictures from mac to new ATV, nothing about movies already or future purchases
