Vertical close-collapse-maximize buttons? Apple, are you serious?

Apple, seriously, what were you thinking when you decided to change the close-collapse-maximize buttons' orientation? Sure, in mini window mode the buttons were already layed out like that, but that certainly doesn't make it alright that the buttons are oriented vertically in the full-sized window. It's against your own UIGs, for Christ's sake. This is just plain wrong and I hope it will soon be rectified in an update (let's say iTunes 10.0.1 in a few days' time).

Until then, no iTunes 10 for me. I think it's ugly as h*ll.

EDIT: Heaven's opposite shall may be named here, apparently.

There are some things about Apple's UI guidelines that I hope they decide to change. I want S4 back, the way it was in the BETA before the release day switch. I want a maximize button that actually maximizes the app window I am working in. That alone is considered a standard by most anyone.

If Apple is willing to make these changes to their UI guidelines, I think it shows progress on their part.

They "had" the best implementation of Tabs on Top in the browser I have seen, even with the new version of FireFox. Too bad they listened to some short sighted screamers, Now Safari looks old and behind what Chrome and FireFox are doing.

I hope they can resurrect the Tabs on Top feature from S4 beta and maybe make some other much needed changes to the UI guidelines.

Just my 2 cents.

I do not see what the problem is with the vertical buttons.

Apple likes to experiment with new things.

I find it to be very obnoxious for someone to post on Apple's Discussion's website expressing opinions that suggest that Apple doesn't know what they were thinking.

The opening post seemed very arrogant and disrespectful if you ask me.

Apple has a reason for doing everything, Whether we as users understand why they did it or not isn't something that always happens. But what we should be thankful for is software and hardware that works.

Apple continues to update iTunes and most of their applications every year to a few years, While as some other companies (which I shall not name) don't share such a passion for keeping things "Fresh" so to speak..

I'm sorry you feel that way, But I think on a certain level you are over reacting.
