I plugged in my flash drive but I can't seem to get to it. I tried using Finder but it doesn't see it.

Hi, sometimes a FD will not show up unless it is Mac formatted..
I have had similar issues & formatting solved the issue.........L

L thanks for your reply. The fd wasn't formatted for a Mac. It has some files mostly music mp3s that I backed up from my old pc. I just bought a Mac and I am trying to move them over.
Can I format the flash drive for a Mac and still keep the files on it?

I tried the disk utility. Thanks for turning me on to that. I did a repair disk and verify but i still can't access the flash drive. I will search and see how most people migrating from a windows pc to a Mac do it. I just bought my mac so as you can tell i am just feeling my way along.

Thanks Mighty TeenTitan for your reply.
