How can I get all the colored icons back in iTunes? The new UI looks like it came from a 1940's film or something. It's awful. I want my colors back! How can I do that?
I agree completely. The new interface is ugly. Come on Apple, the aluminum look is fun when it's the outside of my MBP, but my screen does 32million colors and I'd like to use a few of them, thanks. Any way we can get the color back?
(Yes, it's nit pick, but lets face the facts. Part of the reason I bought my Mac is because it's beautiful. And I use iTunes a lot, so...)
Couldn't agree more. The lack of color is just awful. The best thing to do may be to submit feedback to Apple. They do occasionally listen. http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html
I also agree, but it's worse than that. Some of my clients are older persons, and when they see that they will think all those items are *greyed out* . This is functionally
wrong, as well as way ugly.
But what's worse is that Apple has done this the last few releases of iTunes... removed functionality with NO WAY to bring it back. Unless you know some command line unix hacks to restore them. I've already seen a few of those popping up and iTunes 10 has only been out a few hours. Apple didn't use to behave like this.
If you do come across some sort of terminal hack to bring the color back, would you mind sharing it with us? I'll keep searching google over the next few weeks and hopefully someone clever will figure something out, but I'm not holding my breath.
The only real possible solution is for someone to go and color all the icons using Photoshop, or something like that, and then have us download them and place them manually... So, any brave soul who's willing to give that a shot...
