iTunes 10 won't show me my songs.

I just downloaded iTunes 10 and it won't display my songs.
I use Snow Leopard (got it recently)
When I had iTunes 9 it wouldn't work, and every time I reopened it it would crash immediately.
Now iTunes 10 doesn't crash, but when I import songs, the songs are imported and they start playing, but it doesn't show up in the library.

Also, whenever I click "Movies" and then "Music", the movies introduction page just stays there and sort of freezes.

Any ideas?

I have this problem with all of my media. Music, movies, tv shows, etc. I can see how many TV shows I own because the little number is next to the link, but clicking on TV Shows does not let me see the actual shows in list, album, or any other view. There's nothing to click on so there's nothing to play.

I've tried every trick in the book. I can't believe I'm going to have to haul a giant 27" iMac into the Apple Store for a genious bar visit.

I'm using iTunes 10.

Same exact issue here. It's definitely a bug. Recently updated to iTunes 10 and now this problem. The music files will actually play if you access them in their respective directory. Double click on a song and it starts to play it opens up iTunes and plays but nothing shows up in the library interface. Very weird. The same applies to radio, movies, etc. The iTunes store works and so does Ping but that's it.

Apple support where you at??? Hot thread here!

My issue seems to be slightly different than you guys'. When I click on a song, the iTunes screen goes black and there are no longer any songs or playlists listed any more, iTunes just becomes a big black box floating there with the menu bar still up top. The music still plays though. The only way to bring the songs/lists back is to click the "x" with a circle around it (similar to what's on a widget) in the upper left hand corner, but that stops the song. What the heck, Apple?

Hi,

Try testing with an alternate iTunes library, as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1589. After launching iTunes while holding the Option key, import a few tracks and test viewing/playback in the alternate library.

If the issue persists, try removing and reinstalling iTunes as shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1224.
If the issue only occurs with the primary iTunes library, try re-creating it. This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1451 will walk you through the process.
