iTunes 10 doesn't smooth video anymore when Viewed in a separate Window

Same issue with G5 on 30" screen its appalling. itunes 9 was fine.

Having the same problem here on Macbook white C2D 2,4GHz with 10.6.4 and iTunes 10.

Same problem on my 17-inch Unibody.

Video is pixelated. As if the 'Quartz Extreme' smoothing is not kicking in.

My video looks pixelated played at actual size. Rollover with the mouse, video looks fine. Otherwise, jagged and pixelated.

Exact same problem for me on my MacBook Pro. Looks fine in fullscreen and when the controls are displayed but blocky after the controls fade away.

Yeah, same here on my iMac. Lets wait for iTunes 10.0.1 ...

If memory serves, I swear this exact thing happened with v9.

Mine too. I'm thinking of calling apple, but what can they do about it? It's the new oftware that's the problem. I'm becoming increasingly disappointed with apple lately. Iphone 4 is awful, they moved all of their factories to China, and now this.

Not happy.

I don't have this problem, on a mid 2009 MacBook running iTunes 10. I wonder why you guys have this problem and I don't. Because I don't, we now know that this may not be an issue with everyone. Perhaps some bit of preferences or installed software did something in some way to make this happen for a lot of people. However, maybe that isn't the case, because I have so many things installed on my computer. The strange thing is that someone else who had my model of MB had this issue and I don't. Very weird.

I have noticed the same problem. I found another thread somewhere that noted the problem appears to be associated with viewing the video in a separate window. If you change your preferences to view the video directly in the iTunes window, the picture quality is back to where we are used to having it. This is only a work-around though, and Apple still needs to look into this problem.

What can they do about it? It's software they wrote on hardware they make! They can do everything about it! File a bug report. That's what I'm doing.
