After installing iTunes 10 I suddenly no longer have a 'burn playlist' button in the lower right hand corner of the iTunes window. I can still burn from the menu bar but I'm wondering where the burning button went. Now in the right hand corner of the iTunes window are the two buttons associated with Genius. Anyone know where the burn to disc button went to? Thanks!
Thanks. I clicked while holding down the control button and a menu came up with buring to disc as an option. I just don't understand what happened to the button that used tp be in the lower right hand corner. Apple says it's still there but it's not on mine. Strange.
I am having the same problem on both of my computers...the burn button is missing in itunes 10. I can't believe it is gone! Apple does say on the the itunes 10 features that the button is there. Is there a solution to return the burn button to the bottom right hand corner?
I have the exact same problem. I do not have a 'burn CD' button on the right below.
I also can't seem to find how to burn from the menu.
Any suggestions ? And btw - this ***** !!!
There may still be a menu item for burning discs, but the "Burn CD" button was very convenient. I have searched through all the menus and preferences trying to find a way to customize the toolbar or for any other option to put it back to no avail.
Thanks for the answers to the no burn button, why did they not issue a statement with the new changes? I also noticed that now all my icons on itunes window are black and white.. no more colors... what is the deal? anyone seeing what I see?
Thanks Jackie
You are correct, the icons are no longer in color. The artwork in album list is smaller with the artist name and album name now placed ot the right of the album artwork instead of below. And of course the Burn To Disc has disappeared as an icon.
If you really miss the Burn To Disc button, then make sure you let Apple know about it, either from within iTunes itself using the option Provide iTunes Feedback on the iTunes menu, or by going direct to this web page.
The missing Burn button isn't really a surprise as the big media interests seek to wean us off the idea of physical ownership of our entertainment. As the CD-less new iTunes icon suggests, Apple, (Google et al) see the future of media sales in getting us to license access to our music/films etc. via the cloud which, of course, they control.
