I'm trying to create a simple "Stop" button using NSImageNameStopProgressFreestandingTemplate

i have a button that's a simple NSButton and I set the image to be :

[NSImage imageNamed:NSImageNameStopProgressFreestandingTemplate]

but it's a square button with a border and not the rounded one I expect like this:

I thought this was a very basic thing..but I can't find anything with a google search. is there something special you need to do to use NSImageNameStopProgressFreestandingTemplate and have a borderless, no-bezel "" button?
