iPhone4: Facebook Push Notification Not Working

I'm trying to figure out why this is not working. I tried deleting and reinstalling the FB app, but it still doesn't push. Mail seems to push fine, but FB just refuses to. Anyone heard of this and how to fix? My phone is new (1 day old), let me know if there is any other info you need. The FB app version was 3.2.2.

iPhone4, iPhone OS 3.1.3

If push access works for other apps but not with the FaceBook app, I suggest contacting FaceBook customer or technical support in regards to this problem with their app.

Well im not sure reAlly push is supposed to be active all the time right? Well sometimes it looks like my email only checks when i open it up but then sometimes therell be messages waiting when i unlick it. Is there anything i can check in general to see if push is set up correctly? Ive been thru the settings on my phone and they seem ok

Are you accessing an email account that supports Push access with the iPhone's Mail app?

This is supported with an Exchange account, with a MobileMe account, and with a Yahoo account that was created with the Yahoo account preset.

If no, only Fetch is supported - automatically or manually checking the account for new messages.

Have you checked the Facebook app under Settings? Maybe some push notifications are turned off under the Facebook app. I believe the latest Facebook version is 3.1.2.

Yes all notifications on. Just noticed on google maps it doesnt show or update my current location

Unless you are accessing your Gmail accounts as an Exchange account, push access does not apply.

Maybe restrictions? Enable and disable restrictions.

My facebook gets push notifications, just like before. I don't think it's a facebook bug.

you can download the app called boxcar which when you put your facebook in it will give you a notification everytime because mine doesnt work either and this solved it for me

Hello Allan !!

I seem to be having the same problem. Are you trying to say if we use a mobile me and yahoo account in the default iphone 4 mail settings, I wont receive push notifications for facebook updates?? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

In my experience facebook on the iphone has always been glitchy, basically I find its a hit amd miss and works when it wants to. I have never had consistent facebook notifications

The sam happened to my Mrs. If you are using WIFI make sure it's the right wifi connection. Ours kept defaulting to BTFon and not our router, once this was amaned all updates worked fine.

I had the same issue with the FB app for my Blackberry so it isn't just the Iphone app which means it must the the FB app itself

Hello.

I'm trying to say and said no such thing. The OP also asked a question regarding push access for received email with email accounts, which is not related or associated with push notifications for any other app that includes push notifications.
