add new samples to EXS24 - how to

setup to launch the EXS24 Sample Player
related to this sampler are files found at:
/Library/Application Support/Logic/EXS Factory Samples
/Library/Application Support/Logic/Sampler Instruments
whats not so clear is how do I add my own samples AND titles to the workflow ?
I added my own folders (full of nothing) to each path and neither shows up in the Sample Player's menu. So what gives ?
