MacBook to TV Audio

I'm getting rid of cable TV and using an antenna for local broadcasts and a Roku for streaming. I also want to use my wife's laptop to display Hulu content on the TV (Vizio). I hooked up a mini DVI to HDMI cable and the video works fine but how do I get the audio? My TV has a couple of HDMI ports and right next to them are red and white RCA ports labeled R and L. Do I need to find a cable that will go from my earphone jack to these two RCA ports? Thanks.
