I could not import CD and also had iTunes 10 window flashing thing...
-Changed to "Ask To Import"
-Unselected "Automatically retrieve CD track names from internet"
CD now will import.
I have NOT gotten track names and art to work like they used to. Track names are all BLANK after import. I hope this gets fixed!
I do see new features in the advanced menu, "join tracks" and "submit CD track names" maybe this has something to do with it.
Same here - CDs mount on the desktop and then the wheel spins as it used to when contacting the tracklist database, but almost instantaneously they disappear from the desktop and don't mount in iTunes. Quitting iTunes doesn't bring them back either so I've to revert to disk utility to get them ejected.
Is this a cunning plan to force me to buy my music through the store ... or a bug ...?
I am experiencing exactly the same problem since upgrading to itunes 10 a few minutes ago. Insert CD, either with itunes already operating or not, and the application freezes, flashes and refuses to accept that a CD is there. The CD then disappears from the desktop and cannot be retrieved through any finder window.
Same issue here. I insert a CD into my imac. It brings up itunes, flashes in both itunes and on the desktop, and then disappears. Although, luckily, i can still eject the CD. Very frustrating.
Apple pull your fingers out and sort this mess out.
The workaround is: Deselect the automatic retrieving track information option under the General tab in Preference of iTunes. No other settings need to be changed.
Apple will sure send us an update since this is such a obvious and troublesome bug.
