iTunes 10 Fonts OVER large?

iTunes 10, Windows 7 x64

Is it just me or, when I go to sync my iPhone, are the fonts on the summery page (and all others) all out of whack? They seem to be too large and are cut off at the bottom and don't fit within their boxes/buttons. I've tried changing the source and list settings for fonts in the preffs but, it makes no difference. This isn't happening with iTunes 10 on my Macs. Anyone else?

Same problem. In poking around I found that it seems to have something to do with my Control Panel Font setting. I have a 1080 display, and can't read the text easily unless it's set to 150% ("large"). That seems to confuse iTunes. If I set the Font size back to 100% iTunes looks fine, but all the fonts are way too small to read. I saw this in iTunes 9, but it wasn't as bad. With iTunes 10 I can't even read the software version of my iPhone 4 on the main page. Other symptoms are clipped artist line on the grid view of my music, and even slightly clipped text on the windows menu line at the top. Clearly a bug.

Because at his point, I don't think it's anything that can be fixed by anyone but Apple. As stated before, I checked the available font settings in iTunes itself. I have also checked system resolution and font settings and all is well there. This appears to be Apple's issue. I simply wanted to know if I was alone. If this is indeed fixable by me, then I retract my previous statement and would indeed appreciate a solution. Thanks.

You might want to try editing the font size. Starting with iTunes 10, font sizes are stored in a plist file (XML, text) at (assuming you use the English version)
($INSTALLDIR)iTunes.Resourcesen.lprojTextStyles.plist

There are quite a few fonts in there, and I don't know which one would change the Device summary page.

For example, you can change the List Contents (and source list) font by editing this part of the TextStyles.plist file:
<dict>
<key>- loc hint -</key>
<string>List Contents (Small)</string>
<key>font</key>
<string>Segoe UI</string>
<key>size</key>
<integer>8</integer>
<key>xp-font</key>
<string>Tahoma</string>
<key>xp-size</key>
<integer>8</integer>
</dict>
You want to change the "integer" value after the "size" key. e.g. to change the current font size (8) to 12:
<dict>
<key>- loc hint -</key>
<string>List Contents (Small)</string>
<key>font</key>
<string>Segoe UI</string>
<key>size</key>
<integer>12</integer>
<key>xp-font</key>
<string>Tahoma</string>
<key>xp-size</key>
<integer>8</integer>
</dict>

I haven't figured out what changing "xp-size" key does.

I've just updated my iTunes font size editor program to work with iTunes 10, but I don't know if it'll help on the device summary page or not.

The forum TOS requires me to say: "I may receive some form of compensation, financial or otherwise, from my recommendation or link" because I have a paypal donation link on my webpage and in the program, but the program is free (donation totally optional).

"Sorry. You're using Windows?" Well, yes. In this particular instance, I am. Using it, that is, not sorry about it though. That's why I posted this in the "Using iTunes for Windows" forum.

How in the world could you possibly know many others are having this issue or not? Based on how many reported on this thread to having the issue, there are more that, in fact, do have it. 4 to 1 so far.

I wrote "Sorry", because I saw your signature and was thinking Mac and ready to respond then I reread and saw you are talking about Windows.

Yeah, I base that on these forums (not only this thread). I have seen no other posts about it and there are plenty of people posting here.
Not to say there isn't any problem and it is still only a few days after iTunes 10 was released but a this point, it doesn't seem to be a big problem (this thread only).
Far, far more people are having issues because the minimize/maximize buttons are horizontal and no longer vertical.

Hope you get it sorted.
