iStat Menu remnant?

A few months ago I decided to stop using iStat Menus, i can't remember how I got rid, but possibly by using AppZapper. Today I popped into Console and discovered the following running continuously:

06/09/2010 00:02:44 com.apple.launchd.peruser.502[175] (com.bjango.istatlocal[4421]) Exited with exit code: 1
06/09/2010 00:02:44 com.apple.launchd.peruser.502[175] (com.bjango.istatlocal) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
06/09/2010 00:02:54 com.apple.launchd.peruser.502[175] (com.bjango.istatlocal[4422]) posix_spawn("/Library/Application Support/iStat local/iStatLocal", ...): No such file or directory

Any suggestions on how to clear this would be gratefully received.

Thanks for the intro to EasyFind, looks very useful. It did find a few remnants of iStat, which I have destroyed (nothing found for bjango), but the log continues! In between, there are long runs of:

06/09/2010 00:39:17 parentalcontrolsd[171] -[ActivityTracker contentFilterPageWasVisited:address:] [1288:peterw] -- Got an error when saving MOC: Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=134030 UserInfo=0x1097b0bd0 "An error occurred while saving."

Parental Controls is not being used to lock anything down. I'm not sure whether this is connected or a separate problem.

I'm going to restart - I'll report back as to whether that changes anything.

I'm not sure I understand what you are getting into now. For the iStat, if it's still logging something, open Activity Monitor>All Processes and filter for iStat. If anything's still running, it will show there. You can quit it from AM, but unless you trash all those files, it will only return with a restart. You should have been able to clear everything out now, so I'm not sure what's going on.

I don't know which iStat you had, or if you saved the .dmg, but if you download it again, you should find an uninstaller option.

If it's a file requiring authentication, the "Destroy" function in EasyFind will not be effective. When deleting such a file through EasyFind, the usual message asking you to authenticate won't appear. This may be why that file in /Library/Launch Agents may still be lurking. I think you must have gotten that file through EF, but it probably needs to be trashed directly through the Finder, as jsd2 mentioned.
