iPhoto titling and export

When I retitle images in iPhoto, then select all and save to a desktop file, it reverts to the original file name. I would like the file to take the newly titled name. How can I do this? Thanks.

Hello
I have lots of "old" photos without time-stamp and also want the file name to be kept. It hinders me from using iPhoto. I also have tried Aperture, this program could change file names but does the sorting wrong with my numbering system (e.g. 2010.09_000 Vienna.jpg). Why is Apple leaving the usual file identification in these programs?
Thanks for Your question!!!!

WHen you Title an image, you're doing just that - adding a title to the photo. There is no way to rename a file in iPhoto.

On export, if you use File -> Export you can use the Title as a filename for the exported image. It's one of the options in the Export dialogue.

Thanks, for Your interest ...

I want to keep my filenames, I don't use Titles. I want to be absolutely sure to be able to change back to Expression Media 2 at any time. There I need filenames. I don't want to get "locked" into iPhoto.

By the way: Aperture would work with filenames, but it sorts "alphabetically" and brings my numbering scheme (e.g. 2010.09_122) Munich.jpg into disorder. What a pity ...
