Hi Guys,

i am looking for a program that protects all other open programs from accidental / locks. Privacy is not written supposedly great but if the iPhone is open, everything else is accessible. I think that this feature of Apple are programmed into the firmware and must, therefore, would like a password protection for applications such as photos or video. I would not have to jailbreak the iPhone because of it. Is there currently a solution for it?

Iphone4, iOS 4

You can look in the app store but I would recommend setting an overall pass code for the entire phone.

    Thanks for your answer.

Actually there is no App in the Store to solve my Problem. A global lock is not what I imagine and also fairly meaningless. The iPhone will also be considered without time out of the hands can give.

I don't let other people use my phone so it hasn't been an issue.

Did you check out Settings> General > Restrictions? Some limited controls there.

Nothing in the App Store can control other apps, but there are, for instance, apps that will hold photos and offer locking, which would let you hide specific sensitive material, eg:

    Send feedback to Apple:

More ability to restrict other users is a pretty frequent request (in various forms) so it's worth trying to move it up their list. Or call AppleCare.

Thanks for your answer and tips!

Other Apps which hide my private pictures and video are no alternative because apps which can send photos chooses to access the default picture folder. And this folder is unsafe.

The normal Iphone restrictions are not include photos and videos.

I have a 3 year old son who gets to fiddle around with my phone when he is really bored, at restaurants etc. I have a few games for him which are age suitable but I also have a couple of games (shooters etc) that are age suitable to me. I do not wish for him to be able to access those. There are loads of alternatives in the "jailbroken" but I really do not wish to do that. Is there something in the EULA that says that I can not create an app with this function? It seems to me that someone would have made one otherwise? Please let me know and I will look into creating one if there are no rules being broken by password protecting individual apps.
