I just downloaded itunes 10 and tried to connect my iphone 3gs, but itunes 10 cannot see it. I never had this problem before with previous versions of itunes.
Does anybody have an idea what's going on?
Once again, same problem here with iPhone 3GS.
itunes 10 does not recognize the iphone and MSCONFIG troubleshooting didn't solve the problem...
Would greatly appreciate some help here...
Got the same problem with my 3G, I had it connected earlyer this night and got it updated to 4.1 after trying a couple of days. But now I lost it again...
Update- just ran Software Update, and there is something called "iPhone SDK Compatibility Update" which says it resolves an issue that causes your Mac not to recognize an iPhone when connected.
So I installed it, restarted, and it seems to be working. I am synching as I type.
Running Windows XP, just updated to Itunes 10 and iPhone isn't recognized by iTunes, and won't stay powered on. The graphic shows I need to connect the cable. Windows recognizes the USB connection but the Apple stuff doesn't seem to know where it is.
Did you have any luck - i have the same problem with 3GS and iTunes 10.1? I can see the device in XP but not iTunes and have tried re-installing iTunes
"Update- just ran Software Update, and there is something called "iPhone SDK Compatibility Update" which says it resolves an issue that causes your Mac not to recognize an iPhone when connected."
This did the trick.
I was wondering why I needed the iPhone SDK since I don't write iPhone programs at all? Should have read the fine print in Software Update...
