iPod Touch - Scrolling Song Titles

Hi...

My iPod Touch contains many songs that are tagged with long names such as ....

2Pac - Got My Mind Made Up (Daz, Kurupt, Method Man, and Redman)

The iPod's playlist displays: Got My Mind Made Up (Da...

I was wondering if there was a way to have the song title scroll while playing, rather than "..."

Thanks.

Further research revealed...

The iPod Touch does not support scrolling titles. With that said I did find a music app that was highly recommended by a couple of iPod Touch users. The app is called FlickTunes .. allows you to customize your music menu .. including scrolling long music tags. It also allows you to "Flick" commands .. such as volume up/down, track skip, play/pause, etc. etc.

I am not sure about iPod touch. I have done some testing on iPhone 4 and discovered that for getting the full track name you can use VoiceOver. It is not ideal solution (of course, scrolling will be better) but if you assign VoiceOver on/off to triple-home-key it is a bit easier. When voiceover is on just tap on the song you will hear the full track name.
Another trick that can help (it may be possible with old touches with iOS 4) is to double-click on home button to get task manager. Then swipe right to get iPod app controls. The title of the song you're listening now will be displayed with the dots in the middle. For me it solved the problem since most of the long tracks have important info at the end of the title and you can see them that way.

I have just sent another comment hope everyone else does too may they will finally listen

Yep, this is a really annoying problem. I have audiobooks on CD that I ripped to iTunes. Each CD is listed as a separate audiobook and the name of each books is long and starts off the same, but the end of the name that distinguishes the CDs from each other is chopped off. I have to guess which audiobook is which CD since I can't see the full name. Let's hope they get it fixed soon.

I have found a solution although not ideal. there are a few Apps that are players that will show the full names.

first is McIntosh

this one is inspired by the High end audio manufacturer and will play for play lists and has several effects that you can apply to the audio it will display the full song title and artist info. problem with it is its slow to respond and takes time to "Warming Up" while it loads the playlists.

then I tried Gesture Music. this is really developed for driving or operation when you cant look at the screen you can adjust volume and skip songs by swiping your finger on the screen it to displays full song titles and other information the free version has no means of selecting playlists.

the last that I tried is swipes music player free.

much the same as the Gesture Music.

I have not tried any of the payed versions that offer more features like plays lists and selection by album or artists
