Q: Transferring music from ipod classic to new computer

Hi, can anyone help?
My last computer became corrupted and unusable and I am left only with my ipod of music, which I would like to transfer to a new computer, however, it will not synch with the new one as it is says my ipod is already synched with another computer (my old one!). I have contacted apple and they have sent me information, but you need to make adjustments on the old computer (which no longer exists)to transfer the files. Is there a way of transferring the music from the ipod to my new computer, without using my old computer?
Thanks...

Yes there is, but it's not exactly legal. In your case, it should be OK I think. PM me.

I have the same problem. The old computer won't run long enough to de-authorize it. How do I sync my ipod Classic 80gb to my new computer?

OK, I had to restore my laptop to factory-settings, and so lost all my music in iTunes. Still have my music on my iPod, but obviously can't syncronise it as I'd lose all the music on there.
I have tried a couple of software packages (ipod2computer & Tune Tools), but neither of them seem to work (one keeps asking me to put in my credit card details again and the other just hangs or saying it hs updating data, but after a few hours nothing happens). Really looking for help or recommendations in transfering music files from my ipod or software that can enable this.
    Many thaanks for any assistance

    Hello Gusterr
My name is Horst Coers and I have been trying to solve the same problem Garzot had when he contacted you. My previous laptop was stolen while traveling in Spain and I have not found a way to secure/backup the music library from my iPod Classic. I would be grateful if you could share how you helped the other fellow. If you would rather email me : hcoers@hotmail.com
    I appreciate your help

    Same problem here.
No original pc and ipod with music I don't want to lose.
    How can this be done?
Either that or establishing the new pc has the "original" one? Is this possible?
Because if so, we'd just have to turn it to the manual... I think.
    Anyone can help?

When I was in Iraq, my computer crashed and I lost everything, including my iTunes to my 30 gig Classic. I got a new computer and just recently bought a new iPod but I can't figure out how to access my 30 gig on the new iTunes without losing all my music.

Could someone send me the info too? Thanks!
