I have an iPhone 3G. When I updated to the first version of iOS 4 it slowed to a crawl, but that was understandable. However, when I updated to the latest version of iOS 4 all WiFi capability was lost, and that is unacceptable. WiFi is grayed out and I have tried all the recommendations on Apple's support site with no success at recovering WiFi capability.

*Can anyone tell me how to GO BACK TO IOS 3 so I can restore full functionality to my phone?*

Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide,
Randy

+ps Of course, one "proposed solution" was to simply upgrade to an iPhone 4! I'd love to but my contract is almost up with AT&T and I am hoping against hope to find the iPhone on the Verizon network early next year.+
