can you overcharge an iphone 4?

i go 4-6 days on a battery with moderate usage. when my iphone goes dead, i plug it in to charge around 9pm and leave it plugged in until 9,10,11, or even sometimes 12pm.

will this hurt the battery life or the battery itself? can you overcharge an iphone 4 battery?

every 2nd charge i do is a full discharge and recharge

No....it won't hurt the battery either.......But just so you know, it's also not necessary to fully discharge the battery either.

so leaving the iPhone 4 in to charge for 14 hours has no negative effects on the battery? btw my phone doesnt get hot

You could leave it plugged in for days and it shouldn't hurt anything.......

ok thanks, i go 4-6 days on a charge with some gaming and moderate use. i dont want that to change. im very satisfied and i have no antenna or proximity issues 🙂.

LOL, you must have something else you could be worried about?? Having a long lasting batter and a fully functional phone clearly isn't something you need to be concerned with......

NO! According of top rated app: "Battery doctor", the full charge, trickle charge, ect.."must not last more then 12 hours , couse it will harm your battery..."

Generally you can keep it on the charger but not for a very high amount of time. Overnight recharge is plenty of time to get to 100%. I drain the battery to 10% after 6 hours of gaming on the weekend then recharge it again or keep it on a charger at work for nearly the whole day.

Normally. no. But Apple recommends that you cycle it at least once a month.

Cycling the battery DOES help battery life...it allows the battery cells to get a work out they would not get if the battery is not allowed to fully discharge every now and then...this does prolong life in the battery

How the **** are you getting 4-6 days out of your iphone battery? Are you leaving it in airplane mode? What's the secret?
