How to make copyright symbol on the iPad?

as a photographer, i often need to tag photo with (C) scott nichol... there are several apps that i use that allow you to edit the metadata on photos and when the keyboard comes up, there doesn't seem to be any way to make the (C) character appear.

often there are hidden characters (accented letters, bullets, etc) that will pop up on the keyboard if you tap and hold certain keys. but non of the pop-up keys seem to contain the (C) symbol. has anyone found this character on a standard keyboard? is there a way to suggest this as feature for a future iPad update?

thanks,
scott nichol

Cymbol is the easiest way on the iPad to create a copyright as well as label your photo credit completely in one step. The program is here.h

Also it has an arbitrary unicode conversion capability, fast copy all to clipboard along with super and subscripts. So doing labels or footnote entries from chemicals, isotopes to bibliographies all around assistance.

Just a handy can do kind of App, my iPad with that an IA Writer now can do real copy with even paragraph marks or just about anything the font handles unicode represented.

Way faster and completely independant of any use of web access.

Just to follow up on this old thread, the copyright, TM and registered symbols are available in the Emoji keyboard, which can be enabled in Settings->general->Keyboard->Keyboards->Add New Keyboard.

These symbols will show up for anyone, even if they are not on an iOS device, they're ascii symbols and not pictures like the rest of the emojis.

Tip: if you use these symbols lots, add the emoji keyboard, open up any text editor and type in those symbols. They'll now be in the "recently used" section of the emoji keyboard for faster access.
