How do I get music bought on an old damaged iPhone onto my new iPhone?

Hi Guys,
I'm hoping someone can help me with this...

I had an iPhone 3GS but my 3.5yr old dropped it into a pool of water about 2 months ago. When it was damaged it had about 12/15 songs I had bought on iTunes on the handset but never synched to my MacBook. I've just got a new iPhone 4 and I've synched it with my iTunes but none of the purchased tunes that hadn't been added to the computer have showed up... Question is... what do I do to get them back? Also, can I do this to get the apps bought on the handset but not synched back too?

Thanks,
Gus

You can re-download purchased Apps for free. Music, however, is a one time download and the music you downloaded on your phone should have been transferred to your computer & backed up with the rest of the content in your itunes library. Only itunes support could permit you to re-download your lost content without charge. The fact that you've waited two months dims your chances of getting this approved, but you never know...contact itunes support, plead your case & hope for the best:
