Authorizing my ipad

Question

Authorizing my ipad

I need to authorize my ipad. It says "choose store > Authorise this computer"
I can go to the store but cant find the "Authorize this computer" button. Can you please help me.
I have looked in the itunes store and the apple store. Which store is it?

Neither. It's a menu item available from the Store menu in the iTunes application, which is at the top of the iTunes window(Win) or at the top of the screen(Mac).

You do not authorize a device. You can, via iTunes, authorize up to five computers to use a single itunes account.

It's a literal message as to what to do in iTunes. From the menu bar in iTunes choose STORE and then choose AUTHORIZE THIS COMPUTER.

I know this is way late for Cheryl, but for future reference, the trick is not to look in the iTune Store window, but the menu bar right at the top of your computer screen!!

I have authorized my computer (over and over) and I still get the same message on 10 songs I'm trying to transfer to my iPad. I begin to wonder if I have to authorize my iPad, because authorizing my computer is not taking care of it.

I also have an iPod.

Hi there Cheryl

I've got the same problem with my iPad too. Itunes on a computer has a 'authorize this computer' option under a menu. On an iPad, there is no such option. Suggestions?
