IPad not recognized in iTunes

I upgraded a MacBook from Tiger to Snow Leopard, and downloaded iTunes 10, just as instructed. Then connected iPad and synced for first time. Some songs made it, some didn't. And then iPad never showed up in iTunes.

Apple support was totally useless. Finally found advice online: Do a Software Update and installed "SDK Compatibility Update" for iPhone.

This solved the problem.

Thank you, Mr. Klutch! That upgrade did it.

You're right: Apple support was totally useless...as were all the forum threads hereabouts (including one blindly adoring fanboy/girl/it named whose only advice was "I have not had a single problem with any upgrade since I got the original iPad" and "You're not willing to fix your issues, so complaining here is not very useful." BIG @#$@#$% help, honey…thanks so much.

Anyway…thanks, Klutch. iTunes is now seeing my iPad.
