Apple TV Now showing movies and Tv Shows

I have been verbally advised this by a senior technician looking into this. I will be receiving documents to follow up on this case.

Thanks pushing apple for a fix - I have the same problem - just my movies and trailers being displayed on the menu and was about to waste my time on a factory reset

Yeh don't bother... Nothing wring with any of our Apple TV's. Apple just needs to get their act together on this one 🙂

Same problem here. Given I only just bought it, this is very annoying. Not good for the WAF, even though I only spent $180 on it.

Still not fixed, although I am feeling some love.....

Issue should be resolved now. You may need to change your location and revert back to Australia if the menu options do not appear automatically.

Yup, fixed!

I had to unplug the Apple TV and reboot it, but my movies made it across from the Mac and the movie menus all came back.

That was around 6 days of it not working..

Am having this problem still 14/09/10 and have read through all these posts and cannot find any acknowledgment from Apple or that any fix is being worked on.

Very frustrating and has convinced me to go back to Video Ezy and gett cheaper rentals on blu-ray!

Fixed for me also - had to change my location to US and revert back to Australia but all now appears OK

Full movie menu items are listed on my Apple TV as of today. The issue migrating the iTunes store to the new 'streaming only' model appears to be complete.

The only curiousity is that I see the option to buy a movie for $12.99. I thought it was a rent only deal now. If not, I gather bought content is streamed back to, and stored on, the host computer now as opposed to on an Apple TV?

All good regardless. I hope the same is true for others.

Guys still not heard from APPLE. I have had an apple TV for 2 years it has been great. Still cannot see Wish list , Search Genres and TV shows menus as we used to. Wouldn't you think that someone from apple would by now have got an answer for all of us with this difficulty, even if to say we are working on it.

All that I am thinking is that they want us all to buy the New ATV. So are probably not going to fix. Who knows. Surely someone at Apple is listening??????

For me this issue is NOT resolved either. Still no access to the iTunes store from the Music menu. I live in Germany.

I agree, Serious Listener... Apple came out with a big press release quickly enough when the new iphone had bugs -- why don't they just release a bit of media on this issue so we can all relax. Many people on this thread are suspicious that this is a cynical exercise to sell us the new Atv.

This is not why I went with Apple. Where are they?
