Magic mouse not working after wakeup

Hi,

I have a Macbook Pro 10.6.4. The magic mouse has worked great since paired up. I closed the lid come back the next day open the lid and the magic mouse works fine.

Now since the last software update, the magic mouse says connected but is not responsive. I can click it, move it around, nothing. Turn the mouse on and off, nothing. If I disconnect manually using the touch pad, then simply click the mouse they pair up and work.

But it won't pari up and work when waking up from sleep.

Any thoughts. Yes I have rebooted.

Thanks,
- Mike

Hi,

I'm adding to this.

I have replaced the batteries, I have tried removing the bluetooth prefs and magic mouse prefs and let the computer re-create them. Still does not work on wake.

I did notice that if I manually disconnect from the bluetooth, clicking the mouse button makes the computer discover it immediately. If I just power the mouse off and loose the signal and power the mouse back on it will not be discovered. I have to use the touchpad to connect it.

I'm starting to think the bluetooth got screwed up with the last update.

Hi,

So now the mouse seems to be working properly, that is functioning on make form sleep without having to disconnect.

I went to the Apple store to see if someone could help or at give some input. I brought both my laptop and magic with. Before talking to anyone I paired up my magic mouse with a laptop on the one-to-one table. It worked and it worked when waking from sleep. So that made me think it was my laptop or something specific to in anyway.

I finally get to talk to talk to to a person in a blue shirt, Sean, and he gets one of their magic mice so we can test. I pull out my laptop to show him what my mouse is doing. It work perfectly. sleep then wake. then sleep a little more then wake. It works as you'd expect. I cannot reproduce the issue in the store. This has been an issue since the beginning of September.

It even works perfect at home too. Even this morning. No one did anything to settings or poked at it. The only thing I did was pair it to an in store MacBook pro before showing the guy in the blue shirt my alleged issue, that like magic, is no longer an issue.

Magic mouse, your magical!
