Importing video from Panasonic 3CCD camera to MacBook Pro

Hi guys,

Ive been trying to import a video from a Panasonic 3CCD camera to a MacBook Pro using a USB cable, but my computer won't pick up that the camera is connected to it. Any idea why? I can't use a Firewire cable because it won't fit on my computer..

If it's a card-based camera, you could try putting the card in a card reader

If not, does it appear on any other machine (Mac or PC)?

Is your camera plugged in? This will not work on batteries.

That is why card readers are popular. You do not have to worry about plugging the camera in to the wall.

Hi

What - Panasonic 3CCD camera ?

Does Your MBP have a FW800 port ?

Then Use a 4-pin to FW800 FireWire Cable - or - use a FW400 to FW800 adaptor

I guess that Your Camera only can transfere video via FireWire (or analog out) and then You
must connect via this.

alt - but with quality loss is - analog-out to an A/D-box - to USB2 -- But You still needs programs
that can Capture/Import and I don't know if iMovie'09 can do this.
