Hi

Does using the tunein radio app on 3G rather than wifi use up alot of your data allowance, I'm with o2 in the UK.

Thanks

The only thing I could suggest is. Check your data usage in the Settings/Usage section on your iPhone. Make a note of these.

Use the radio app for 5 minutes and see how much usage you have used. You will need to add the sent and received data figures together to give you the total. This should give you an idea has to how much data gets used, i.e by comparing the figures you noted down initially to the figures that are shown after using the radio app for 5 minutes.

Is you data not unlimited ? The data plan on my iPhone is unlimited and I'm with O2. If that's the case it shouldn't matter how much data you use.

From the O2 website.

From the 24th June 2010, we have introduced data allowances for all new and upgrading customers. Pay & Go customers will get 500MB with Text & Web and simplicity.

Pay Monthly mobile customers will get up to 1GB and unlimited Wi-Fi - click on the links below to find out how much data is included in your tariff.

The vast majority of our customers use less than 500MB of data a month and we will text you the amount you have used so you can stay in complete control - these texts will start from October. If you need more data you will be able to purchase an additional data Bolt On again from October.
