No, you will need to return it to Best Buy. You can only take it back to the Apple Store for warranty exchange.

I called a Apple Store in Vegas,talked to a employee,promised to take my iPod Touch even if I bought it in Best Buy,went there 1 hour later,talked to the manager,he refused and never apologize for the employee's "mistake".Best Buy finally accepted my iPod Touch 32gb 3rd Generation without a receipt. This lady was so nice and gave me a gift card.Thank you!! Bad Apple Store!!

yes you can, although they may ask you to return it for exchange at Best-buy if you are still within your 30 day return period there which is what they asked me to do. Wasn't an issue for me.
