How can I move fotos from a new event or wrong event to an event that has hundreds of photos?

It is easy to move when you can see both events in the window, but when one is far from the other, how do you move it?

The way I do it is go into the event from which you want to move (remove) the photo out of. FLAG those photos by selecting each one flagging them.

Next go to the event in which you want to add the those photos into. Once in there go to the EVENTS menu item and pick "Add Flagged Photos to Selected Event" and they will be moved for you.

When done, on the left side select the Flagged photos, select all, then UNFLAG them as a bunch to clear them out of the flagged area.

This seems like a ridiculous work around. The way I did it though was to go into "Photo" view, select the photos then drag them into the event of choice. But its also very cumbersome. Especially if you don't want to move the photos, you want to create a duplicate into another event, (eg. one your uploading to MobileMe or Facebook.)

Having said this, you should just be able to control click on selected photos and choose "Send to Event..." then select the event. Or "Send Duplicate to..." etc I've been wanting to do this for ages.

Can we get an update with this in place? It's a pretty standard idea, especially for OSX.

It's not a ridiculous workaround, it's the designed way to do it. It's actually very convenient for folks who have lots of Events, and want to move photos from several Events to a single one. Drag and drop will also work perfectly ell, but not everyone is proficient with the mouse. It's about choice, you know.

Why you feel the need to duplicate files before uploading is beyond me. It's quite unnecessary.

No. This is a User to User to forum. Apple aren't here. It's all explained in the Terms of Use you agreed to.

I also figured out that I could drag the smaller events to the top row, scroll, drag more, scroll, etc. then combine them.

If you want to simply combine whole events, from the events viewer you can simply select the two or more events you want to combine then pick the Merge Events menu item. No need to try and rearrange them on the grid first.

Oh one other tip. You can also drag and drop on event onto another to merge them. I believe the one you drop into retains its name for the new merged set.
