iPhone 4 from Apple Store in Hong Kong

Hi guys,

Seems I am becoming an Apple fan. I just bought my first MAC. Anyway i will be travelling to HongKong in about 1 months time. I would like to buy an IPhone 4 in Hong Kong from an official Apple Store.

Online there seems to be a 3-5 week wait. What is the story in the shops, can I buy 1 or are they just taking orders.

Thanks in advance guys.

avedon - not sure what you are on - but my question was if they are in stock or not.

from the second post it seems like Apple is selling a product without product in HK 🙂

oh well lets see. I'll be back in a week or two to see if someone in Hong Kong actually knows the current situation.

I waited just over 3 weeks to get mine in Hong-Kong. I had ordered 4 Iphones and all arrived on time. Well actually they were about a week late but I just waited because I knew that there was nothing else that I could do because of high demand for the phone they were a bit behind on shipment dates but they are shipping them. I ordered mine online from the Apple Store in Hong-Kong.

IPhone 4 is not avaliable in shops yet in HK. It is only avaliable on contract from the service providers and it is still a 2 to 3 weeks waiting list. I got mine on launch day here. The only place to get it sim free is online on the apple store in HK. I saw last week instore at fortress were displaying the iPhone 4 for sell and I happened to ask if I can buy it and the sales assistance said sure but put your name down on our waiting list. Then I ask how long is the wait on the list. The reply I got was we don't know. Why don't you or get some in HK to order it online on the apple store now and by the time you get here to HK the iPhone will be delivered about the same time. More logical I think rather then have the headache of searching for it when you get to HK. By the way I ordered my free bumper and it arrived in 3 weeks via DHL. So the question is how long is a piece of string? Answer is. Who knows.

good info. my problem is that i ordered the phone from the hk apple site, and have it delivered to a hotel in hk that i'm going to stay at. the hk apple site allowed me to place the order, but since i'm using an U.S. credit card, i have a feeling apple will just cancel my order when they try to charge my card. has anyone successfully ordered from the hk apple site with an U.S. credit card with an U.S. billing address?
Does Chinese credit cards work on HK apple site?

@davidliu2010:

Hi David, it seems that Chinese credit cards DO work on HK Apple store website, as I just successfully ordered iPhone4 using my girlfriend's Visa card from Guangzhou, China. Order is confirmed, and my gf also confirmed that money is deducted from her card. Delivery address is my HK apartment, but bad news is delivery - my shipping date is NOVEMBER/2, and delivery NOVEMBER/8, that's way too long... If big shops get stocks next month, I'll just buy there and cancel this order.

Hi guys,

I am from 8th Nov. to the 16th Nov. in Hong Kong and had the same problem as Darbid.
Should I order now the iPhone 4 from the Apple Store HK and have it send me to my hotel or by the beginning of November, the stocks of the shops will be filled? Well, can say no!

@Darbid:
When you are in Hong Kong? Can you post me your experience?

Thanks and best regards from Germany
