how to group move icons

Question

how to group move icons

just updated to 4.1
icons are now located on 5th and 6th screens, want to group move them, possibly back to now (nearly) blank 2nd screen.

Is there a way to do this ?

MBP CD, MBP C2D, Intel Mini Mac, Mac OS X (10.4.10), Intel iMac, Windows C2D system

After upgrading to iPhone OS 4.1, Game Center displaced Compass on page 1 (in fact, it's by itself on page 2).

As I have great doubts I will ever use Game Center, is there any way I can either delete it, or move it such that Compass is back on page 1?

Press and hold any icon until it wiggles. Drag your icons to where you want them. Press the Home button to exit this mode. Note that you can move icons from one page to the other by dragging to the side.

can icons be group moved without first creating a folder ? I really dont wish to do it that way, seems like a kludge....

can this be done as a group ? I want to move about 10 icons to another screen in one move. The method you're suggesting, at least for me, would only work one at a time.....

It's very simple to create a folder, move it to a new screen, then drag the apps out of it. You're right, it's a little kludgy, but it's all there is for now.

Hint 2: Also, if your 2nd screen is nearly empty, just drag the icons off of it. When you press the Home button, the empty screen will disappear.

Hint 3: You may find it easier to move lots of icons around in iTunes than directly on the iPhone. You can then sync the new arrangement.
