Please! Why are my downloads playing with gaps in both iTunes and iPod?
I'm a classical fan, so gapless playback is vital - little gaps are like being stabbed in the ear, they ruin enjoyment.
I've now had this problem with purchases from the iTunes store, Amazon and now Play.com: I buy an expensive multi-album download, and find it plays with little hiccups between tracks on both iTunes 9 and my iPod, which is a 160GB "2.0.3 Mac".
At first I complained to iTunes and got refunds, but I don't think they believed me (if you're persistent and articulate they seem to cough up). They had no explanation for why this might be happening. I can't find any discussion of this problem online.
Please, any suggestions? It's 2010: do I REALLY have to go back to buying on CD and ripping?
