"Settings" icon erased after iOS 4.1 update.

"Settings" icon erased after iOS 4.1 update.

Hey guys,

I just updated my iPhone4 from the original 4.0 software to the 4.1 software. The update worked was executed successfully, but by settings icon is no where to be found. Does someone have any advice? I'm thinking the only thing I may be able to do is try to re-update my phone to iOS4.1

Have you looked to see if it is on a different home page or in a folder?

Yes. It does not appear on any of my screens, nor is it in any of my folders. The only way I can access the Settings is by double-clicking the home button to activate multi-tasking and to click on the Settings icon on the ribbon bar.

Will it not drag and drop onto the 'desktop' from the ribbon bar (if you double-click it)?

No. The icon just shakes and the red "delete" bubble appears in the upper left hand corner, but I am not able to drag it at all.

Ah, sometimes you can drop icons down there by accident when you're moving them around. Don't know what to suggest then.....other than the dreaded reload.

Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout...see if you see it now.
