I accidentally dropped the end of my power cord into a cup of water, just the part with the LED and nothing else. It's been about 20 minutes (I dried it with a hair dryer) and I plugged it back in, the light turned green without plugging it into the computer and I unplugged it immediately. What should I do?

it was a nice move you did not plug it in .. if it was just clear water you should not worry too much .. all you need to do is dry the magsafe ..I recommend getting a cup of rice and dipping the magsafe in it for a while lets say an hour or two and check the results.rice ***** humidity very fast..also you might leave it under the sun but I recommend the rice better ...
if it was clear water you have nothing to worry about the dc current in the magsafe is too weak to ark in clear water .. therefore even if it was plugged when submerged in water it'll be good .. just wait till it dries and you'll be good
Was the adapter plugged into a wall outlet when you dropped the MagSafe end into the water?
You'll need to leave it alone for at least 24-36 hours. It's not possible to dry the inside of the plug assembly (all the spring-loaded pins, etc.) in 20 minutes with anything, so there was still moisture in it when you plugged the adapter back in. If it wasn't damaged instantly when you dropped the plug into the water, you may have damaged it by plugging it back in while it was still wet. Give it time to dry completely, preferably in a warm sunny place but not a hot one. Don't connect it to a power outlet again during that time.
The end is in a cup of brown rice as we speak. Is it possible it got fried (A) when it hit the water or (B) when I plugged it in about 20min later?
I imagine it's quite the possibility but in reality I just want someone to tell me that there won't be any need to drop 4 Jacksons...
This might be a good time to buy another adapter, then. If your original turns out to be OK, you'll have a spare (one for home, one in your bag for away from home), and if not, you'll have gotten right back to work quickly in spite of the accident.
