Can iMac G4 read DVD+R/RW?

Hi, I've a couple of DVDs that iMac G4 cannot read. I've noticed that they are all DVD+R and they are rewritable: is this the reason iMac cannot read them?

Nemomnis,
I had a problem w/ compatibility of DVD-Rs and DVD+Rs with some clients. If your DVD reader is older or dirty you will have problems reading certain disks. I was using a cheaper brand and found that that resulted in more compatibility issues with clients. My son works in the industry and recommended some brands. Now I only use the known brands.

your drive is to old to read the + disc the rw disc and the dl disc! You are going to have to replact the drive with a newer model!
