Ipad shows conect to Itunes screen...

HI,

Try resetting your iPad.

Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

If that doesn't help, Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPad for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then press and hold the Home button until the Apple logo appears.

This did not do anything for it.iTunes is up to date, but does not react to it or see it in diagnostics. I can get the slider to appear to turn it off. Then it comes right back up to the same 'connect' screen. How do I break the cycle, or enter/reset the code?

If it says you have to enter a passcode which you do not know they you have to restore it via iTunes on your computer. If iTunes does not see your iPad go here:

I just had the same thing happen when I tried to update software on my iPad. Said after about 30 mins server not responding, then got the plug into iTunes screen on my iPad. I called Apple support. They had me try all that was suggested here. Then she said - oh, we will have to restore you iPad but we can't - the server is down which is why it couldn't update the software. I said - fine that it wouldn't update the software but did it have to mess up my iPad doing it. Hopefully when all this is over I can get everything back onto my iPad. But right now I have a frozen screen on it with the plug into iTunes on my screen.
