Today, I tried to gift an app to my friend, but it said my payment was declined. This is impossible because it is a $.99 app and I currently have $3.71 in account credit. It told me that my credit card was decline (A while back I added a pre-paid visa gift card to iTunes so I could make purchases, but I now rely on iTunes gift card credit) How can I stop iTunes from trying to take money from the empty credit card and just take it from my iTunes credit?

If thats not possible - If I add another working credit card to the account, once it is verified, will iTunes pay for the gifted app with the iTunes credit like it should?

iTunes 10.0, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

Sorry, but as stated in the terms, you cannot use the balance from a prepaid card to purchase gifts:

"Gift Certificates, iTunes Cards, Content Codes, and Allowances, in addition to unused balances, are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund (except as required by law); exchanged; resold; used to purchase Gifts, Gift Certificates, or iTunes Cards; used to provide Allowances; used for purchases on the Apple Online Store; or used in Apple Retail Stores. Unused balances are not transferable."

(emphasis mine). If you want to give something, you'll have to provide a valid credit card.

Regards.
