Disable firewall on Airport Extreme

Is there a way to disable the firewall or make adjustments to it on the Airport Extreme? We just started having a problem with our XP's not being able to see the other computers in the Workgroup, and we can't figure out what it could be. Any other ideas?

The only way to disable the firewall on the AirPort Extreme is place the device in "bridge mode".

Depending on your setup, you may already have the device setup this way.

Check your settings:

AirPort Utility > Manual Setup > Internet Icon > Connection Sharing = Off (Bridge Mode)

This setting would be used if there is another router ahead of the AirPort Extreme on the network, which sounds like it could be the case based on your post.

If the AirPort Extreme is connected directly to a modem (only one ethernet port on this device), then the correct setting for Connection Sharing would be "Share a public IP address"
