iPad does not show up in iTunes 10

Hi,

Syncing my iPad to iTunes used to be fine until I updated to iTunes 10. Now when I connect my iPad to my Macbook to the iPad the iPad will not show up on iTunes at all, it won't even show the devices list. I'm using the same cable as I did last time I synced and it is working because it charges the iPad. Please could someone help?

I have the same problem, after having bought an iPad2. I'm using an iMac with OS X 10.6.7.


I've tried everything: safe mode reboot of the iMac, delete iTunes (as suggested by apple support) with all related files, reinstalled iTunes, switched to other USB connectors.

I also lost my iPhone connection in iTunes.

Nothing seems to help...


Appreciate good advise how to solve this.
