So I got my new iPod Nano(5th generation) a few days ago. I put it in the computer to charge, it synced all the music to it, I eject it from the computer and the screen flares up with all the music and everything, but the moment I disconnect it from the usb cable to the computer the iPod goes off and I can't turn it back on. I tried the hold/center+menu thing, it doesn't work. I left the battery to charge, it still won't turn on. I am not sure what else I can do, it simply won't turn on unless it's connected to the computer.

Did you eject the iPod first before disconnecting?

    Hold button on or off?

Read the iPod Nano 5th Gen. User Manual and if the solution cannot be found there, call iPod Nano tech support.

While holding the ON/OFF button, plug the USB cable to your computer. Keep holding the button. The apple logo will appear and it will turn on. Let it charge and go.
As the device is quite small it is a little annoying to plug the cable while holding the button, but you'll manage.
