My ipod 6th gen just died- for no reason.

So I woke up this morning and tried to turn on my new ipod 6th gen, and it didn't react at all. I was pretty unsatisfied with the battery anyways, and noticed it draining over night since you cant turn it off completely, but the battery couldn't be the problem since i just charged it yesterday night. So i hooked it up to my mac and its still not responding at all. I'm pretty ******, I always handled it with care, it wasn't in the sun, near water, or anything else. The sleep button has been unresponsive before. The only thing i could think of is that i disconnected it without ejecting it yesterday, but it didn't die then, since it told me just that- that i disconnected it and shouldn't do so in the future. HELP PLEASE

Like yes..... thats just what happened to my new iPod 6th gen nano, too. used it yesterday, plugged it into the Mac to down load run and to charge it. Which it did this, as clock work as it has done for the past two months with out fail. then unplugged it when finished ( disconnected as suggested) then the next morning I went to turn it on. AND nothing. I did the holding down the Wake/ sleep button and - for 6 seconds. Nothing. Please Help me...... I must have this to run.....

Today I returned my Nano 6th Gen. to Best Buy for the second time.
Both units just Died within 30 days of usage.
First problem the **** battery seems to just keep running even when on stand by.
Why is there no power off button??
Second even after charging the battery life was short.
Third, the both iPods just shut off and then when I tried to recharge they overheated
Immediately. Dead as can be. Two units behaving identically.
This is no accident. I am highly disappointed in Apple for releasing such Crap.
I am a Super loyal Apple guy. And this *****!
Now what? I don't have a gym tunes now.
Totally ******.

My first iPod nano 6th gen died about three weeks after I got it. Now my second one is starting to have the same problems and I've only had it a few weeks. I'll be taking this one back to the Apple again. I think its even more irritating since the store didn't have my red Nano 8GB in stock, so I paid the difference to buy the 16GB model.

My new nano lasted for about 10 usages, no more than 2 weeks. It now won't charge, so even resetting it is out of the question. I am overseas at the moment so I can't run into an apple store for help. I tried charging it last night on my MacBook, and today I have it plugged into a wall adapter. I should have read about the fact that you can't turn it off before buying it, but well I was charmed by the size and the clip on the back. Last time I fall in love with a beauty queen.
