wont activate with @yahoo.com apple id

I am having the same issue.

Same Issue, I've trying reset, new accounts nothing works, and I've just bought it a couple hours ago... hmmm....

In order to activate FaceTime on my iPod I had to use my gmail email address instead of my yahoo address. I tried several different wireless networks all to no avail.

I had no problem activating, and I am currently using a yahoo email address for facetime connections.

Now that you have facetime working with a different email address, have you tried adding the desired yahoo email address to the ID you use with facetime? If you can add it now, you may be able to delete the email you do not want and have the desired result.

If you were logged into the Yahoo email account you want to use on your computer while you were trying to activate, log out of Yahoo eMail while you try to activate or add the account. Perhaps you cannot activate a Yahoo email account while it is in use?

That worked for me. I now have FaceTime setup to work with my yahoo email address. Thanks for the suggestion.

I was unable to make it work with this process. I have two gmail addresses. One works, the other doesn't. The one that does not work is of course... the same as my apple id. What is wrong here?

I cannot tell from here what is wrong there. However, I understand that you have FaceTime working, but not with one particular email address.

I have the same problem but with my Gmail address. I try a different PC reset my password but the same problem. Talk to Apple tech support and was told to reset my router which I did but again the same problem.

I am uncertain what "same" problem you have, but is the Apple iD you are using to register FaceTime an email address?
