Xbox 360 wireless controller with steam

Can someone tell me how to use steam (modern warfare, portal, etc) with an xbox 360 wireless contoller on the Mac? And can i plug in microphone headset into wireless controller and will it work with the microphone chat with steam? I am new to steam and xbox controller on mac, please help.

I have researched this quite a bit. As far as I have been able to find, there is no support for any gamepads on Steam for Mac.

I did see the software to download 1 is to find the con roller and the other is game pad to set the controls such as 'a' is spacebar. And would that work with a wired 360 controller or do u need to buy a special 360 controller for computers, can't u just plug it in to the USB port?

That will "work" with the wireless or the wired 360 controller. But it does not work well. The analog sticks are a joke (they do not perform well at all)

There is no native driver built into the mac version of steam, so it is worthless (IMO) to use the controller apps. I am just waiting for Steam to add gamepad support.
