Bought this case for 3GS. Seems like I might like it. However, the screen cover seems to "adhere" to the surface of the phone if more than an extremely light touch is used. This results in what appears to be blotches of "moisture", (don't know else to describe it), in the areas where the contact was made. Does not hinder the operation of the phone at all, just makes for a crappy looking screen, especially when the unit is off/asleep. I'm very anal about the appearance of my stuff, this is a minor bother. Anyone else notice this? Solution?
Thanks,
Paul
Some people report forehead (or cheek) grease stops the bubble looking effect. Others report talc powder stops it.
I just clean my screen with microfiber cloth and put defender back on. The bubbles don't bother me as much as the "cure". The defender has taken quite a few impacts and phone is unscratched. It also keeps out the dust well.
I've had that same problem, but it doesn't really bother me that much. If it bothers you that much though, buy an antiglare screen protecter. The otterbox's screen protecter won't stick to that. I've also heard that talc powder can work, but I know the antiglare screen protector is a sure fix.

No, it is not necessary to remove the existing screen cover from the otterbox. What I had was an invisible shield from ZAGG. I wanted to double my protection with the invisible shield and the screen from otterbox. When I put on my otterbox, I noticed that there were ink spots on it. At first I didn't know why. I decided to remove the invisible shield. The ink spots disappear. I wasted $30 for the invisible shield but my iphone with the otterbox looks great. 🙂
Thanks, the idea of talc seemed unattractive to me. The "cheek" or "forehead" oil scheme didn't have much appeal either. I bought the Power Support Anti-glare film. It is as close to the perfect solution short of throwing away the otterbox as I can see. Haven't quite mastered the technique for applying the film, got a couple of dust specs, but the screen looks great under the otterbox and seems to work well. No more ugly "adhesion bubbles".
Thanks,
Paul
