Ibm Proprinter driver

Hi all,
I have an old IBM proprinter III and I'd like make it working with my new mac.
Does anyone know if ther is a suitable driver?
I tried installing foomatic + ghostscript software, but my printer still doesn't work.

Please, can anyone help me?

Thank you

Bye

I already used the usbtb software, but the printer still didn't work.
Is it possible that I made some errors? I installed usbtb after having installed foomatic, ghostscript and proprinter II driver (I remember that my printer is a proprinter III).
So, my last chance is to try the ESP drivers previously suggested by greg, and not the one for proprinter II, isn't it?

I wouldn't say it is you last chance. There are a lot of drivers for dot matrix printers. One of the main problems with your Proprinter III as I see it is that it is not in the OpenPrinting database, so we are making some assumptions on what will work. Also, I can't really find any information on the web from a Google search that gives much information about this printer. I can't even find out whether it is a 9-pin or 24-pin printer.

I did find the code in the Ghostscript package for the ibmpro device. It shares much of the same code as other built in Ghostscript drivers namely the 'epson', 'eps9mid', and 'eps9high'. All four of the Ghostscript drivers come from one code file, so they are similar but have enough differences to matter.

If the drivers Greg suggests don't work, you can access the drivers and get PPDs for the other devices mentioned starting at http://www.openprinting.org/drivers. Many times trying to get an old oddball printer to work takes a lot of trial and error.

Here I am, sorry for late reply, but I can make some attempt just yesterday.
I finally resolved the problem, using the PPD for Generic ESC/P Dot matrix printer found here http://www.openprinting.org/driver/eps9high/
As previously mentioned, I already installed usbtb, Foomatic and Ghostscript ( http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collaborate/workgroups/openprinting/macosx/foomat ic).

Thanks again to Matt and Greg for their suggestions
