Bluetooth connectivity issues with Sony MEX-BT2800

Just got the Sony MEX-BT 2800 audio deck my my Hyundai Santa Fe. System was professionally installed. Now for the life of me it will not connect to Bluetooth at all for wireless audio streaming. It technically should work. I've read on other forums people seem to not have this issue. I called Sony and they said it was an issue with Apple's iOS4. I'm running the latest iOS4 update. HELP! Anyone else have this issue? should I take my Sony deck back?

It seems as though bluetooth for this model may not support the iphone. However it does have the ability to physically connect an ipod to the system.

Tech Specs:
https://www.sonystyle.ca/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=1055 1&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921666040171#accessories

You need to purchase the accessory sold separate as stated in the foot notes:

"1.Not all MP3, WMA, AAC files may playback due to file variations. Copyright protected ACC-LC files cannot be played back.

2.iPod® connectivity requires optional adaptor (XA-120IP)."

Hope that helps.
